Why Is SPOOGE Mineral Based?
At SPOOGE, our formulas use non-nano Zinc Oxide for broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection that sits on top of the skin to reflect UV rays. Mineral sunscreen protects immediately, is gentle on sensitive skin, and meets Hawaii’s reef-safe regulations.
We formulate without Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Synthetic Fragrance, Parabens, or Phthalates—because clean, wearable SPF matters.
Co-founded by double board-certified Mohs surgeon Dr. Whitney Hovenic, SPOOGE was developed to make daily sun protection feel effortless for every skin type.
Mohs Surgeon Developed, Not Just Tested
Created by Dr. Whitney Hovenic, double board-certified Mohs surgeon and co-founder of SPOOGE.
After years of treating skin cancer in increasingly younger patients, Dr. Whitney set out to create a sunscreen brand that young people wouldn't skip—fun, affordable, clean, and designed without fear tactics or talking down to our people. SPOOGE was built with one mission at the center: helping make a real impact on skin cancer prevention for the next generation.
